SHORT TERM RENTALS / “HOTEL” RENTALS FORBIDDEN

6/7/2017

In accordance with Wentworth Bylaws, owners or residents/tenants are not permitted to rent units (or any portions thereof) for any period less than 30 days, and no portion of a unit may be leased other than the entire unit for any period of time.  Accordingly, before renting a unit, a signed lease agreement, along with any relevant move-in fees, must be provided to the Management Company at least two weeks prior to move-in.  Use of “hotel” rental sites, including but not limited to AirBnB.com and/or  booking.com are forbidden as they do not comply with these prohibitions in the Association’s Bylaws.  Owners/tenants found renting all or any portion of their units on a “per diem” basis or in any manner not compliant with the aforementioned regulations will be fined on a daily basis for each relevant offense.  If these actions are taken by a renter sub-letting their space, the Board of Directors has the authority to terminate the lease and begin proceedings to evict the tenant pursuant to Virginia State Law.
Owners/renters are expected to follow all community Bylaws and Rules and Regulations,  including pet registration, and pool access rules (guests may only attend in the company of the owner/renter and within normal operating hours), etc.
More information may be found on the website:  Wentworthplaceva.com.
Any questions may be directed to the Board at Wentworth.Place@yahoo.com and Esther Haley - EHaley@ghacm.com.

Thank You,
Wentworth Place Board of Directors
And Esther Haley, CMCA®
Portfolio Manager
